Overview

This composition contains citicoline and piracetam which are used in the treatment of stroke. They protect the brain cells from damaging affect and supply oxygen or ion channels on the nerve cell membrane. It nourishes the nerve cells.

Mechanism of Action

Citicoline involves in the ischaemic cascade in stroke and stabilizes the membrane by increasing phosphatidylcholine and sphingomyelin synthesis and prevents the release of fatty acids.
Piracetam improves the membrane stability and restores the neurotransmission like glutamatergic and cholinergic systems and mediates the neuronal and anticonvulsant action.

Contraindication

• Contraindicated in people with known hypersensitivity
• Contraindicated in renal impairment
