Overview
Cinnarizine belongs to the category of antihistaminic drug and is usually used in the treatment of motion sickness. It has sedating effect and it produces sleep more than that of any other antihistaminic drugs produces. It is also indicated to treat nausea and vomiting.

Mechanism of Action
Cinnarizine inhibits the L-type and T-type voltage gated calcium channels and thus inhibits the contractions of smooth muscles. It does not bind with other neurotransmitters such as dopamine d2, H1, muscarinic receptors.
